Dear Patient

As the NHS makes major changes to the service throughout the UK, we must follow suit and adapt along with it.  The Health & Social Care Act 2012 detailed what needed to be done and included in this was that the patients would be given 'a greater voice'.  In order to achieve this we, as a practice need to be able to give our registered patients a channel for their thoughts, ideas and suggestions.

The Lakeside Practice have an established Patient Participation Group.  This Group consists of volunteer patients who contribute some of their time to the development of the Practice.

The aim of the Group is to hold quarterly meetings to promote co-operation and strengthen communication between the Practice, patients and the wider community for the benefit of all.  It will be a forum for constructive discussion in areas such as health, improvement of services and other topics determined by the Group.

We welcome new members, if you would like to join this group please ask at reception.
